Ribbon and Rub On Challenge

Week 2 of Sharons Build It Up challenge over at Scrapbook Capital is to use Ribbon from week 1 and Rub Ons.

Here is my layout using the gorgeous Kaiser Waterberry patterned papers, a RW chipboard title, and some rub ons.

This one is Jules Christmas week 3 challenge over at Scrapping Outback. She reintroduced me to the wonderful Tim Holtz embossing resist technique and we had to make a self standing layout. It was heaps of fun.

These two layouts feature my gorgeous girl and her 'best friend' (my gorgeous girlfriends DD).

Ems Birthday

So it was the Devine Miss Ems 12th birthday on Friday (I can't believe it either) and we took 5 girls to Movie World on Saturday. We were all stressing during the week with all the storms we were having and the forecast for more storms and rain on Saturday. All turned out well and we had a gorgeous warm day at Movieworld.

The sleep over also went very well with me up until 1am painting French nails and putting on mud face masks (and then getting up at 6 to go to work and leave Chris with 5 girls and a mess). Happy Birthday baby.

Here is a layout I did for Scrapbook Capitals august cybercrop - all about dad for upcoming Fathers Day. It is a sketch challenge by Julie Heard and you had to include 3 patterned papers, brads and 3 pics. I did a layout for Chris' album featuring him and his dad over the years. I like the layout.

Last weekend we went to the ACP retreat at Maleny. It was awesome. The food was fantastic the views suburb and the friends and laughs just the best. I learnt so much in the Photograph course which was such great value for money for 3 sections. Basic photography, outdoor shoot and indoor/portrait shoot. We went out into the bush for some pics and Sara from Point Shoot and Play was so informative and friendly. Mel was also fantastic and took this great portrait for me. I don't usually like pics of myself but this ones not too bad. I used the Rhonna Farrer brushes that I won in the class (thanks gals). ACP now has a great Photographic Club on site so go check it out.

Design Team for Scrapbook Capital

Guess what? I have been selected to be on the Scrapbook Capital Design Team for OTP - YAYYYY. Here is the first DT creation for the cyber crop. Thanks for the opportunity Lorrie XXX

Thursday, 17 July 2008

I tried Grunge

So I had a go at Nics paint challenge on Scrapping Capitol. I used paint and a credit card for the background paper adding dots here and there and then used spray gold webbing paint over the top. I used coredinations paper to cover the heart and wings and then sanded and added spots of gold and purple Opals. The crown is also done with gold opals.

Daughters Layout

Here is a layout I did of my gorgeous girls at Jens wedding a couple of years ago (gosh time flies). I have covered the chipboard flourish and hearts with double sided jac paper and then I lay lace over the top and sprinkled with pink ultra fine glitter. I removed the lace and sprinkled clear (white) ultra fine glitter over the top. It left a lace effect on the chipboard that I love.
