Botanical Gardens

So I took Zo and the new camera to the Botanical Gardens today to have a play. Here are some pics. I LOVE this camera. So vibrant and clear. I love the Av priority mode, particularly love the way it copes with depth of field. No need to tweek anything in editing either.

So I went and got a new camera (thanks mum) - yep I know I love my Panasonic Lumix but its just well - not an SLR. I did want a Pentax K10 but found out they have been superseded so I (sorry WE) got a brand spanking new Pentax K20D. 14.6MP. YAYYYY It is soo cool!!!
Here are some pics I took today with it before the sun went down. By the way Em is looking after next doors animals!!!!

New Brushes

I won some great Rhonna Farrer brushes at the ACP retreat from the Point, Shoot and Play gals (thanks heaps). Here is a photo I took of Zo at Olivias Fairy Party in August. I love this photo - she looks so free. I have used the brushes around the edge and some (aragwen) fairy wings downloaded from a link on the PSP website.

SC August cybercrop

Here is a layout I did for Scrapbook Capitals august cybercrop - all about dad for upcoming Fathers Day. It is a sketch challenge by Julie Heard and you had to include 3 patterned papers, brads and 3 pics. I did a layout for Chris' album featuring him and his dad over the years. I like the layout.

ACP Retreat

Last weekend we went to the ACP retreat at Maleny. It was awesome. The food was fantastic the views suburb and the friends and laughs just the best. I learnt so much in the Photograph course which was such great value for money for 3 sections. Basic photography, outdoor shoot and indoor/portrait shoot. We went out into the bush for some pics and Sara from Point Shoot and Play was so informative and friendly. Mel was also fantastic and took this great portrait for me. I don't usually like pics of myself but this ones not too bad. I used the Rhonna Farrer brushes that I won in the class (thanks gals). ACP now has a great Photographic Club on site so go check it out.

Hi There

Ok so this is my first post to my blog. Just wanted to brag a little - I won the Professional Wedding layouts section for the RNA show (Our Brisbane Royal show) Scrapbooking fine arts competition. I also won the scrapbooking overall exhibitor award - how's that. I only entered one double page layout and that won - YAYYYY!!!
